Brunching in Style

My beautiful bride (and lovely friend) KK got married two weekends ago, and let me tell you it was quite the gorgeous affair.  I can't wait to reveal all the amazing details, believe me, you will DIE for them!  Above is a photo I took with my iPhone of the beaming couple during their first dance.

KK and I worked together on many different looks for her wedding and the events surrounding it.  Since they were having a Sonoma wedding, the majority of guests had to travel.  Because of this, there were several enjoyable dinners, desserts, brunches and lunches to be had!  I worked with KK to find the perfect look for each occasion.  The stunning bride wanted to feel confident, comfortable and fabulous not only on her wedding day, but throughout the wedding weekend.

Below are three of the "Look Boards" I created for her "Day After" Brunch ensemble.  With our mutual adoration for Kate Spade and J Crew, I included some fun accessories for that extra "wow" factor.  We talked a lot about where she shopped, her style, and her budget.  All three of the looks would have worked beautifully in the summery wine country setting.  Look Three was the big winner, but I just loved looks 1 and 2 so much I had to share! Which ensemble tickles your fancy the most?  Let me know in the comments section below!

Gilded Love

We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to bring your some Gold Medal Love.

Such talented ladies

I have not slept in over a week.  I am WAY to busy watching the Olympics to sleep.  My poor husband has to be woken up several times a night because I am either yelling at the swimmers to "Go Go Go!" or crying at the sight of Aly Raisman's parents watching the scoreboard with bated breath.  And although we normally discuss how to incorporate fabulous patterns into your life on Thursdays, this week is gonna be a little different.  In honor of the "Fab Five" winning gold for the USA, let's take a look at some glamourous gold dresses shall we?

Inspired by This: Coral, Plum and Gold Mood Board

Amazing pattern, Killer Dress, Love Note, Fascinating Fascinator, Stunning Bouquet, Coral Bridesmaids, Great Earrings, Ruffled Heels

This summer is just flying by!  I can't believe we are already in August!  One of my favorite current, summer color combos is coral and plum.  What says summer love more than these bright hues?!  One of the aspects I love about my job is showing couples they can do something fun and different for their wedding while still remaining true to their style.

As a stylist I revel in a wedding with unique details.  This mood board I created has that and more.  The incredible Asos dress with gold metallic polka dots (see more about my current polka obsession here) makes my heart sing.  It would be such a refreshing surpise as a bridesmaids or rehearsal dinner dress!  The pops of gold add a little extra sparkle and formality while still keeping a little bit of whimsy.  Creating mood boards like this one it helps to have a clear vision that can be communicated easily to vendors.  Actually, it's one of the first things you receive from me when we start working together.  It's the perfect way to make sure you are getting the exact wedding you want and I love being a part of that process!

What do you think of this color combo for a wedding?  Let me know in the comment box below!
